Helping companies transition their employees to Jamaica

Coaching

The truth is everyone moving to Jamaica can benefit from some realistic conversational support
and a space to brainstorm what the day to day life is like in the well known home of Bob Marley,
and the two fastest men in the World Usain Bolt & Asafa Powell.

Jamaica is said to a beautiful tropical country, blessed with numerous beaches, lush vegetation
and friendly people. It can also be said that it’s an Island masked with contradictions of anancy story telling with one of the highest crime rates in the world.

Since the Jamaican brand markets itself as a tourist destination which focuses on those in search
of sand, sun and rum punch, getting serious hard questions answered about a possible relocation
for you or your family can often times prove to be extremely difficult.

Transition Coaching focuses on the process that people may go through as they undergo life-
changes during relocation.

A coaching engagement can provide you with a platform for sharing of ideas, a sounding board,
encouragement, support, objective questioning, and committed planning

My transition coaching process involves two components – the physical changes and the
psychological changes. Traditionally, coaching deals mainly with the nuts-and-bolts issues and
concentrates on the big picture. My coaching will focus on the planning aspects of a Jamaican
transition.

My post graduate training in counseling (and my own personal experience of living in Jamaica)
has equipped me with the specific tools to assist in all aspects of relocations and transitions –

The boundaries between these two aspects are often blurred. What is important is the dynamic,
of a trusting, supportive, relationship which develops between my clients and I during the
coaching relationship

Costs

I charge US$30 for an initial consultation of 30 minutes.  After that point, I charge US$100 per hour for 1-3 hours, and US$75 per hour for every hour thereafter.  This service is intended for those who don’t have the time to do the important research on their own, and require expert advice in order to reduce to risk of making costly mistakes, or wasting time trying to find information.

My coaching also includes email support, in which I answer questions for the duration of the coaching contract.

For those whose budgets are limited, I recommend that you make full use of my free offerings:  the blog includes hundreds of links and posts that answer some of the basic questions about moving back to Jamaica.  Also, my ebooks in the Store are sometimes given away at no cost whatsoever.  The combination of these products and services are the perfect alternative for those who have a great deal of time on their hands, and just want to do general research either before they move to Jamaica or after.

In other words, I think there’s something for everyone who visits the Transition Sunshine website, which is by far the most extensive resource for anyone moving to Jamaica.
